Quinn is coming off a quite solid season. After having a few underwhelming or injury-riddled seasons, he had double-digit sacks for the first time since 2014. He finished with 11.5 sacks, 34 tackles (26 solo), two forced fumbles, and three passes defensed. This was also given that he missed the first two games of the season due to a suspension.

Quinn played football in high school at Fort Dorchester in North Charleston, South Carolina. He then played in college with North Carolina from 2008 to 2010. He made the First-Team All-ACC in 2009. Quinn entered the NFL Draft in 2011 and was drafted 14th overall by the Los Angeles Rams (then in St. Louis). He remained there through 2017.

Quinn’s best years came from 2012 to 2014, where he had double-digit sacks in all three years. 2013 in particular was an excellent year, where he got 19 sacks (a franchise record) and seven forced fumbles. That gave him his first Pro Bowl berth as well as his only All-Pro recognition. He also had his only two fumble recovers that year, one of which was for a touchodwn. He made the Pro Bowl again in 2014 as well.

Quinn was traded to the Miami Dolphins in 2018, and he only spent one year there. Despite getting only six and a half sacks in 16 games, that still led the team. He did have 38 tackles, which was more than he’d had any of the last three season. He was traded once again in 2019, this time to the Cowboys.

Thus far in his career, Quinn has 290 total tackles (226 solo), 80 sacks, 24 forced fumbles, and 20 passes defensed. He’ll be trying to keep the momentum of his return to his prior form going this upcoming season.
