Matt Paradis has signed his free-agent tender with the Denver Broncos.  He is now under a one-year $615,000 contract for the 2017 NFL Season.

Matt Paradis Re-Signs With Denver Broncos

Paradis started every game at center for the Denver Broncos for the second year in a row. After spending the 2014 season on the Broncos practice squad, Paradis has anchored the offensive line quite well since then. Even though the unit did not see much success in 2017, Paradis continued to be a bright spot. He quietly controlled the middle of the line while the media focused questionable tackle play. There is no telling who else will start the season on the Broncos, but Paradis will definitely be snapping the ball to whoever is under center.

Paradis is currently recovering from two hip surgeries this off-season, one on each hip. He has played every snap in both of the last two seasons, but he typically only practiced once a week due to the agonizing injuries now being addressed with surgery. Even with nagging injuries, Paradis excelled on a lackluster O-Line unit. Paradis was the lone bright spot on a Broncos line which SI.com ranked 24th in the NFL. The Broncos can expect more of the same from Paradis no matter who surrounds him come opening day.

As a sixth round pick from 2014, Paradis has surely exceeded expectations for the Broncos. His continued improvement can be attributed mostly to the desire to get better and be successful. The Idaho native showed this drive going from a walk-on defensive lineman to a two year starter on the offensive line at Boise State. Paradis earned All-Mountain Conference recognition both years as a starter for those Broncos. He was first team as a junior and made second team honors in his senior season.

Paradis has fought to be a part of the league and will continue to give 110%. He will do whatever it takes to stay on the field all year.
